VW Passat B8 2.0 TDI

Would anybody be able to tell me how to work out for certain whether a B8 Passat 2.0 TDI is a 150bhp or 190bhp (from the registration)?

For example the below one is showing as 190bhp on the Donedeal ad but is showing as 150bhp on motorcheck.ie. Which would be the more reliable source? Or is there another source which would be more reliable? Also presumably you could determine the bhp from the car - a plate on it or the owners book?

Also, could somebody please advise how I'd work out the VRT and Nox on a UK car or very close to it? Say for example the below Passat?

    https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/volkswagen-passat-2-0l-se-nav-tdi-dsg-4d-148-bhp/37351830

Is the VRT calculator on Revenue.ie a load of rubbish? Oddly see Volkswagen there to select twice and two choices for 2.0 TDI and also just 2.0 which could be anything. In particular the NOX units - anywhere I would find these figures for given models? Does the VRT people end up paying end up differing drastically to what they were quoted on revenue.ie?

Thanks in advance for all constructive input.

You could put the reg into a car insurance site like this.

Have a look at the data sticker in the boot floor. Will tell you engine code and power in KW

Ask for a copy of the logbook or V5. This will show the engine code and the bhp etc. And the Co2 & Nox.

The VRT calculation will be correct. I was only looking at a Passat earlier and there are plenty of them to chose from on the calculator. Just make sure the description, and the Co2 & Nox are correct
