Ok tried the KVM and no joy with this and then got one from work on its way

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Docking-Station-Multiport-Adapter-Ethernet/dp/B08HVFH3G2

Using it with 2 monitors and Dell Latitude 5440 work laptop. So hopefully plug and connect monitors and will work. However if I then want to use my desktop what do I need to connect below are my ports

No second hdmi connection on desktop so have adapter so do I need to run anything from dekstop to docking station and if so what?

No DP on desktop or docking station only on monitors

Anyone know if my desktop can be connected up easily enough for use outside of office or do I need to unplug and plug monitor cables etc

    Thanks

USB C ! this what you connect to your laptop
.....and how does that connect to your PC ?

    Desktop make/model/MoBo specs?

PCIe adapter might be required perhaps…

All nice, except there is no info on MoBo(MotherBoard) - home build? do you know MoBo make/model?
Docks commonly connect through USB - one linked indicate USB C, your PC does not seam to have one.

There is also requirement of computer USB port to be capable for TB/DP to be able to extend your video output
