Bottle Trap Replacement

Originally had a p trap on the sink but a couple of years back it needed replacing and I was getting a few bits done around the house so instead of doing myself decided to let the plumber that was in save me the hassle and put a new one in, however, he installed a bottle trap and told me it was the greatest thing ever… Yesterday the connection right under the drain sprung a leak but there's no tightening or loosening on it, it's been stuck in situ. Anyways the quotes I've been getting to replace it have been eye watering and have thought to myself is it a possible DIY job or just suck it up!

Can you highlight in the picture, where is leaking?

Your expression "right under the drain", would have me think that it's the connection between the sink and the sink waste, rather than the bottle trap?
