Downgrading my 22lr

Got myself an Anschutz 1710 HB awhile back and I feel that it is just a little bit too much gun for the type of shooting I am doing.

Looking to downgrade to something lighter as have some land I am allowed shoot on but it is a weighty beast to be lugging about.

Any recommendations on something that is easily lugged around a field that will still give me nice groups on the bench.

    Tikka T1X?

Mine seems to like SK Red.
Tested about 10 brands last week and they came out on top.

50m bench on bipod. No bags or anything other than the bipod.

I’ve now bought a brick of SK Red and next week will please god zero the right to this ammo.

Looking back, I think I measured those groups edge to edge rather than centre or centre.

Gary, sorry to hear that the Anschutz is not working out for you.. I can recommend the CZ range of rifles, having had many over the years. I only have 2 now, 452 and 457. All shot great. I have the 452 if you'd like to try it. The 452 is the lightest. But please let know when to bring it with me.

Or try my 1710 with the smaller barrel, that would be good for hunting and benchrest. Best of both with that.
