Do you mean for next years 2025 college application? Dare scheme is closed for this years in coming students . Are you still in school? If so your teachers will disciss same when CAO opens and CAO Handbook is given out. If you are no longer in school ad are a mature student contact any of the colleges or Universities for relevant information.
    Hope this helps

No I was too old as a mature student. You can either be a DARE applicant or a mature applicant but not both. My advice is start early. Get your paper work together, go "press the flesh".

Go to the open day, big smile big hand out. Get the lecturers email and mail them back with a question and thank you. Also meet the disability officer, MAP officer. Any other lecturer in a similar field.

Tell them what they want to hear:

"I am really interested in this course because: .."

"I have my finance sorted. I am applying for Susi/back to education/ top up grant/etc etc"

"I have my accomodation / transport sorted. Details".

"I know what the course involves ......subjects"

"I was thinking of being a (job in related field)"

Have a few questions at the end ready. "3rd year work experience" "accomodations" "practicals"

You will be grand. It is the lecturer that leads the interview but it is the admission officer who approves. At the end thank both. The interview will be over MS Teams.

If I was going to a new college in a new town. I would check out the campus call in on a few people (ask to meet them before September. Someone might give ye a tour. What is parking /public transport like? Whats the food in the canteen like? Whats the library like?
