Alternative to campsites

    Just back from a vacation in La Sirène France. We have been going to campsite's for a decade now. But oldest has outgrown family hols so just three of us now.

    They were great as the son mucked in with other lads for soccer etc but at 15 he is less outgoing as he was. Can you recommend a location with lots of activities as an alternative to campsites? We considered bring a pal of his but other kids can be hard work too at that age.thx

    Home exchange? Lots of scope for different locations.

    Campsite somewhere up in mountains with hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, rafting, zip lines etc nearby?
