Building a fortnite PC for a teenager. Have case & PSU & ram & hdd. Just need CPU/mobo. Ryzen 4500 or 4600G with cheapo B450 board are just in budget. Is there any other spec I could get around 100 GBP?

Searching through hagglezon (which comapes different Amazon's), I've got a decision to make:

    4600g + b350 for 100e

    12100f + h510 Mobo for 130e

Is the Intel worth the extra? The CPU will be paired with an old 1030gt I have

I wouldn't do the 4600g and B350. If I really had to go AMD, a 4500 and B450 at minimum. That said, the 12100 is better at gaming because the L3 cache on the 4500 is crippled. Just go with the 12100f from Amazon.de and the MSI PRO H510M-B from there as well.

That said, the 4500 will play just fine with a 1030gt as the GPU will be the limit here. So if you get that cheaper you are losing nothing and the platform is perfectly upgradable.

Have to ask, you do have DDR4 memory. 1030GTs were coming out when DDR3 was a thing. Just checking.

actually don't have any ram bought yet, so in theory if there was a sale on ryzen 7000 i could go down that road but i'm not likely to pick up ryzen 7k & mobo for 100e

Why are you comparing a cpu with a builtin GPU with one that doesn't? Are you going to use a discrete GPU?

I have an old 1030GT that I can use for cpus/mobos that come without gpu

@Coyler FYI but you seem to have stumbled upon one of dozens of fake tech channels that exist for "X vs Y" google searches. None of the data is credible.

That said, GT 1030 is a terrible, terrible "GPU" that does not belong in a gaming build.

Take it to CEX, trade it for 24-34eur store credit, and buy a used Nvidia GTX 970 or AMD RX 470.

Don't buy a Ryzen APU this old.

@K.O.Kiki Noted. Will avoid those in future. Thanks.

Just to add the 1030GT discussion, it's for Fortnite and thats about able for it. Considering the low budget I didn't push for more as it will work. Not great but enough to be grand. That said your recommendations are solid. My daughter has a RX 580 8GB (basically a slightly faster RX 470) in her machine and it's still very capable.
