Hello, I have a Mk1 Yaris that has a humming noise when releasing the clutch on take off. I noticed it the odd time in the past few years but more frequent recently. The clutch works fine and the car is driving well. I was wondering is the humming a sign of the clutch bearing just needing some grease.

There is nothing to grease, it's replacement only

You're probably right about it being the bearing.

It might still last for a long time - or not. It is unlikely to suddenly leave you stranded on the road.

It's sealed bearing with no access without removing gearbox. When doing this you would normally replace the entire clutch.
