Do you have any reccommendations for speakers to be mounted on a wall in open plan kitchen, was considering Kef LSX ii LT or WiiM and Monitor Audio bronze 50 or silver 50, with option to add sub at a later stage. Room is approx 22m2

    Cheers

    Hi Dotsie123.

    Many thanks for the post.

The bronze 50 and Silver 50 could be tricky to wall mount due to their weight.

The only bracket we stock that would support them would be the BTech BT77, which clamps to the side of the speaker to hold it. If you planned on tilting these downwards into the room they might slip out so I would be worried about using the BT77 for this reason.

Both the Bronze 50 and Silver 50 would run nicely with the Wiim amp. The Silver 50 would be more refined compared to the Bronze range both both very good speakers.

The KEF LSX II LT are a different beast and don't have just the same control as the Wiim amp would have via Wim's app.
THE KEF app is still very good though. A wiim amp and Silver 50's would give the better sound.

KEF make heir own brackets of the LSX ranges coming in at £190 / €229

I bought a pair of Bronze from Richer Sounds a couple of years ago to try out before buying Silvers and was so impressed by them I never bothered upgrading! Great pair of speakers.

    Hey O1s1n.

    Hope you are keeping well.

Glad to hear you are still enjoying your speakers :)

Thanks Kenny, there seems to be confusion online about wall mounting the Silver 50s, lots of places saying the FIX-M mount is compatible with them, but not sure that hole on the back of the speaker is the internal fixing for the woofer or an actual thread for the wall mount - https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-14089-monitor-audio-fix-m-speaker-mount-black-each-speaker-wall-mount-single.aspx

Also any ETA on WiiM amp pro? might hold off for that.

    Cheers

    Hi dotsie123

Thanks for the post, the FIX-M mounts will not fit the Silver 50's. The hole you see is actually an Allen bolt and holds the driver in place.

We are still awaiting an ETA on the Wiim amp pro.

If I can be of any further help please let me know

    Best Regards Stephen

    Hi Guys,

Thinking now I might go for the bronze 50s, with the w10 sub, and an amp, possibly the WiiM or WiiM Amp pro if it ever launches, or even the Dennon AVR-X2800H, or if you have any suggestions for an amp that will give me the option for 2 zones, proably won't ever use 5.1 more like two stereo zones. Also anything you can do on price / package, including the FIX-M mounts.

    Cheers,

    Donal

    Hi Donal,

Thanks for getting back to us.

We can do the following pricing for you:

    Monitor Audio Bronze 50 - £355/419 euro

Monitor Audio Bronze W10 sub - £575/675 euro

    2 x Monitor Audio FIX-M Mounts - £35/39 euro each (£70/78 euro total)

    Wiim Amp - £300/349 euro

There is another amp I would recommend though especially if you're looking for two zones and predominantly using stereo. The Marantz Stereo 70S has an A and B speaker set for two pairs of speakers but also has HDMI, analogue and digital inputs as well as wifi streaming, Bluetooth and it sounds great. We have it on offer at the moment for £699/848 euro and it's a great option with a vast array of inputs with a great sound:

Please don't hesitate to drop me a post if you have any queries about this option.

    Kind regards

    David
