    Hi

Have a 2003 325i and the roof is giving trouble.

I'm going to check the wiring myself next week as there's a notorious weak spot.

If that's not the problem I'm wondering if there are any roof specialistspecialists in Ireland?

I've found Watsons in Belfast and I could get up there. Any thoughts on them or are there better options?

The roof stops half way and the code reader gives Convertible top compartment lid not raised.

    TIA

Hi, I had similar problems with an E36 convertible roof. I couldn't get anyone in Ireland to fix it (I live in Galway). I ended up sending the car over to Hoodtech, Chester in England (search Hoodtech will bring then up). It was actually worth in in the end as the roof is now working perfectly. There are other specialists in the UK, but I went to Chester as I could fly over (Manchester), check out the car and roof and then driver to Holyhead (90 minutes away). Good luck with it.

These guys might be worth a shout, Marc Allen in Straffan. BMW specialist. No harm in giving him a call.

Did you get it sorted, CMC in Limerick said they'd do the one in my e36, still haven't got around to it, the hard top can stay on until the motor tax drops.

CMC is a good shout alright. Marc used to look after my 5 Series until I found someone closer.
I’m convinced it’s the wiring where the loom bends. Visually I can’t see anything once I pulled back the covering but moving the wires around caused the roof to work again.
There’s a good alarm/carkit etc guy locally and he’s going to look at it next week. Fingers crossed
