How to free trapped blackbird

    I have a female blackbird trapped in the roof space of my garage. It is impossible to get up there. I have tried just leaving door and windows open so it can make it's own way out but so far it hasn't moved and i need to try something more active.

    Any suggestions as to how I can make it go. I think the problem is it doesn't want to come down in order to exit the door or windows

    Leave door and windows open and leave. The bird will calm down and take a proper look around and find her way out. The more she is disturbed the longer she will stay as high up as she can.
