Hi folks, I've a site I'm working on, but can't seem to force the announcement banner that I've coded from scratch to appear "over / on top of" the header section for a reason I can't seem to find.

Can I upload the code I have to see if someone else can spot the error. It is there if I pull the screen down, but can't seem to force it to the front of the site.

Sounds like it could be something simple but without seeing the code I can't tell for sure. If you want to post the code or put it in CodePen or similar so we can see the issue and I'm sure someone can help.

Have you tried ChatGPT (and/or Gemini, though former seems to be more reliable in my experience)? I've been using it for troubleshooting small LeetCode/HackerRank-type snippets, though I don't know if it would be useful for frontend code - but maybe worth a try.

You need to position the container and set the z-index
