Sometimes I realize, like in a flash, that human natural history is 200.000 years or so of conquest and murder and rape, then for what is comparatively the blink of an eye we decide to play nice with morals and laws and rights, and then the people who benefit from this act all smug about it, and pretend like we aren't nine missed meals away from this woman being sold on an open air market.

People are casually posting porn memes, openly discussing their favorite fetishes, porn genres and pornstars, there are porn bloggers on youtube, pornstars playing videogames on twitch, guys proudly marrying filthy pornstars, people reviewing sex toys, girls selling blowjob technique courses, nearly every tiktok is subtle porn. Even when people are discussing any type of media there's always someone bringing up his sick fetishes and depraved worldview (rule34, foot fetish etc)

Most men have become corruption fetishists (aka coomers), who love how so many girls are becoming pornsluts now since onlyfans lowered the barrier-of-entry to absolute zero. They prefer to see some fridgebodied 18 year old give an awkward blowjob on a grainy cameraphone because beforehand she was just some innocent catvideos youtuber and the type of girl who - not even a decade ago - would have never even thought of becoming a pornstar.

The modern internet feels so vulgar and vile compared to its early years, the childlike sense of wonder and innocence are completely gone.

Not sure what internet you were on in the late 90s/early 2000s but I'm pretty sure the main one was still wall to wall porn.

Fun fact, a huge number of technical advances have their origins in porn, video streaming, web optimization tech, VR, online payment systems and big data analysis.

Hell you go back to the early days of print media, some of the earliest widely published materials were naughty woodcuts and the flipbooks and zoetropes of later years were also widely used for erotic purposes.

Amazing how far civilization can progress to attend to our primal urges :)
