Unable to amend 2023 Income Tax Return 'We are unable to process your request. Help-To-Buy applicat'

Hi

Trying to amend my 2023 tax return to add some expenses but when I try to edit it, I get the below

'We are unable to process your request. Help-To-Buy application in progress'

I have an approved Help To Buy applicaiton but that was approved in Jan-24 and I don't see anything for me confirm on my side so not sure why I'm being blocked

Has this happened to anyone else?

Have you drawn down any funds from the Help to Buy (HTB) yet?

The HTB is based on the amount of tax you paid, if you were to amend your return now this would reduce the amount available under HTB that you may be approved for. Unless you're at the max for the HTB then there may not be a benefit in submitting the expenses even if you were allowed as it would reduce your HTB by the same amount.

I think I need to cancel, amend my tax (it's for working from home tax back()and submit a new application.

I'm not sure how much goes into a HTB application but i would think you're as well wait and see that through first
