    guys,

Been considering buying an older mini jeep for a bit of fun.

    Jimny, Pajero Junior or similar

I can’t add them to my current insurer as I’m at the limit car wise and they don’t do classics.

    Rang FI and CN today.
They won’t do the jap cars.

Os there a list of classic friendly cars?

CN also won’t do MR2, GTi and used the words, anything easily modified.

Edit : I’m reading the sticky thread now.

just to kinda close the thread.
Abbey Autoline up in NI came through.
    €340 on a Jimny.
3000 mile limit with social and domestic included.

    No commuting. Is that normal?

Thats very strange, CN insured my 1990 toyota celica gt4 fully comprehensive for 201 euro. they really are random with who they accept or refuse.

no commuting is standard on all classic policies as far as I know

I was with CN on the bike and he specifically said MR2 so maybe the Celica is ok.

    PS. Nice car.

Yeah, they had an issue with JDM versions of them, but euro spec cars were ok.

thanks, best of luck with the jimny, you going mud plugging?

May end up in a Pajero Junior now!

No plans for mud plugging but wanted something small and 4WD to get in and out of fields with some “equipment” for hunting. The everyday car will get destroyed if I used that!

Campian just came back at €190 including the vintage club membership.

Very restricted driving though, noticing around to the shops etc just to and from shows, rallies etc

    That normal too?

I'm insured through campion and I'm covered for social, domestic and pleasure, and also to and from vintage shows.
