New Life is Strange game releasing on October 29th, 2024 and puts you back in control of an older Max from LiS 1.

Solve the murder of your friend and discover a new power, shift between 2 timelines, 1 where your friend Safi is dead and you are trying to find out what happened and 1 where Safi is still alive but still in danger.

At the start, a conversation with Safi will ask what happened at the end of LiS 1, no 1 ending is canon, the new game will implement what you choose

Cannot wait to play this, so hyped that i just started a new playthrough of LiS 1 last night. People online not happy already though as a video above shows Safi asking about the girl with blue hair and you can answer either just friends or high school sweethearts. People not happy hs sweet hearts doesn't do it justice but Max could have been downplaying it to her new friend or could be the Bay ending so nothing updated. Already know from LiS 2 that Bey ending lead to them hitting the road together.

I definitely want to play this for that Lis 1 nostalgia. That pricing model is a bit mad though, especially that ultimate edition.

I really don't like the 'play 2 weeks early' ultimate edition. I even hate when games do that for 2or 3 days early. It's an industry where it's a miracle if a game doesn't get delayed so if you're saying at least 2 chapters will be ready 2 weeks early, buddy release it. They know YouTubers and people in general these days NEED to the first at everything so they know people will pay. I'll be going with standard myself.

Also, locking having a cat behind ultimate edition is dirty, of course everyone would want max to have a pet cat.

There is a PS5 edition with a steelbook on Amazon. I like steelbooks so I went with that.

First chapter down, liking it so far, hope it holds up like that. One thing I don't miss about these games is having to set an hour aside to just catch up with journals and messages.

Had put it down for a bit but decided to push through and get it done. The early chapters were good before the real "strange" kicks in. Overall would say the story was not overly remarkable, not enough to really grip me but just enough to keep me wondering where are they going with this, it does come with plot holes. Also didn't find many of the choices to be all that impactful of my play through or least not enough for me to notice outside of the summary screen. Just about a 6.5/10 game for me.
