How many Lambs on an acre

Hello, I just managed to buy 1 acre of land (my first ever field). I would like to buy lambs in February and get them processed in November (roughly). How many lambs would I be able to put on the acre? I would supplement their diet with nuts etc. I was thinking maybe 2 - 4 lambs. Is this realistic?

Don't misinterpret this question, but are you a complete beginner when it comes to sheep or even farming in general?

Lambs in February won't be weaned. Are you thinking in terms of "pet" lambs?

probably February or March I would get them. I worked for many years on a dairy farm but never with sheep. Yeah probably 3 or so "pet" lambs.
