Was in Woodies eariler and seen this. Seems a good enough deal considering that all brand batteries seem to be going up in prices each few weeks. Comes with the case and the one on display had a steel chuck although one of the pics on the website shows a plastic chuck.

    Just a heads up.

A lot of DeWalt screw guns look alike & as a result some look like great value.

It's always worth taking the time to check the torque and compare to others.

If it’s just for DIY and little use , this package may be better value

I'd prefer to buy stuff in Aldi and Lidl over Black and Decker.

The DeWalt is far from top of their range but still miles better the B&D.

I probably have that DeWalt drill (hard to say as they don't quote the model number). Mine is about 7 years old done a lot of work and it would be almost as good as new.

Yea I agree with the above comments, I just see people on here asking about DIY combi drills every now and again and as I said the one on show was steel chuck so just make sure if anyones going for that deal it's a steel chuck (wouldn't recommend plastic for any type of use DIY/Trade) 4ah battery and it says 3 year warranty on the woodies page I think it's decent enough.

The three year warranty is only if you register your product online with DeWalt. Its easy enough, create an account and put in the tools details you can even upload a copy of the receipt.

DeWalt batteries in Europe only have a 6 month warranty but my oldest (goes out to check) is…… 8 years old and still in daily use.

The Plastic chuck in this case isn't an issue. I have DeWalt tools with both plastic and all metal chucks and there is no difference in their performance.

I picked up a Parkside 20v 2ah with charger and battery in Lidl for 50 euro a few months ago, very impressed with it. Only bought it as the Aldi one I had for 6-7 years fell into a bucket of water.
