Mini pc Vs used desktop

    Morning all

I'm currently debating between a mini pc or a used desktop.

Need it for, working on web Dev projects (only a hobbiest), light gaming (gog, indies, project zombid, cs go that sort of stuff)

Between buying a used desktop or a mini pc, I'm trying to keep the budget under 500 quid.

    Any suggestions?

Im in the same boat. Debating whether AliExpress xeons 2650 CPU motherboard combo is worth the hassle or not. Lots up on YouTube

I dont know how CPU intensive the above are , but have you checked out the Raspberry Pi 5? Up to 8GB RAM. "Built around a quad-core Arm Cortex-A76 CPU cluster, clocked at up to 2.4GHz, with 512KB per-core L2 caches and a 2MB shared L3 cache, "

To jump in, does anyone have any suggestions for something that has 16 cores and 64GB RAM for around €1k?
