    40 seats up for grabs in 6 Constituencies in Limerick city (3) and Limerick County (3).

    Fine Gael presently biggest party with 14 Seats & Fianna Fail next biggest on 12 seats so plenty of support for Government Parties in Limerick with Newcastle West electing no less than 4 out of 6 Fine Gael Councillors last time making it the Blueshirt Capital of Munster , Clearly lots of rich Folk leaving in that constituency , Cappamore elected 5 FG/FF & Adare Constituencey elected 4 Government councillors whereas Limerick City North only elected 2 out 0f 7 FF/Fg .

    The Mayoral election will take up much local debate but the 40 Council seats are very important into where Limerick City & County goes in the coming 5 years , Crime, Roads, Housing the big issues
