i generally have something a bit flippant to say but not so much this time…from what ive seen and read that place in florida is an actual concentration camp,as said above the nazis didnt start out on mass murder by gas,they tried a few different ways to do it,they started out along simular lines as donnie…both my mother(95) and mother in law(98) remember well WWII,only kids at the time but the snippets of news that did filter out were burned into their brains,they have been talking of very little else since this was announced,they are scared even though neither of them lives in america,they keep telling anyone that will listen this is how it started back then,have we learned nothing?…they watch the news and are so shocked and surprised that israel is doing what its doing in Gaza less then 90years after their own holocaust??short memory it seems…i had a great uncle,sadly died some years ago, that was in the british army in WWII,he was with the 8th Army under Montgomery,landed at Anzio and fought up through Italy,saw what both the nazis and mussolinis fascists had done there,was at Monte Cassino,after that he got a few weeks rest then sent to France(still with the 8th Army) a few weeks after the D-Day landings,his unit fought up through France,crossed the Rhine and were the first Allied unit into Belson…i remember as a kid asking him about his time in the war,all he would ever say was "ghastly,just fooking ghastly" he never,ever would say any more about it…we only found out about where he had been was when a suitcase with all his records,uniforms,medals etc came to light after he passed…i guess after this novel of a post what im trying to say is the world is heading back to those times it seems,is that really where we want to go back to?is it not time to say enough is enough?the people who lived through the last time we were at this stage are mostly all gone,their voices arent being heard,the few that are left really need to be listened too…

Hamas have asked for a ceasefire in exchange for the remaining hostages, Netenyahu refuses those terms. Anything less than this, is nothing but a pause while Israel resupply and give their army some shore leave before they get back to the genocide.

And Israel won't honour a ceasefire. Someone in gaza might throw a rock, or wander into the wrong side of a checkpoint and get a bullet in their skull.

The 'settlers' will continue to steal land and kill Palestinians with impunity, the people of Gaza will still be homeless and desperately short of food water, medicine, clothing and shelter.

As long as the current Israeli regime is in power, genocide will continue

Mick Dundee gets sent to Trumps new detainment camp because he's considered as an illegal immigrant, but he escapes and has to fight off hundreds of alligators and make his way through the Florida everglades. Luckily it's a mens only camp, because a Sheila would only slow him down.

I'm not sure if it's Trump that has gotten used to lying in an elected GOP manner or if its the other elected GOP members who have gotten used to lying in a Trump manner. Either way, if the Big Beautiful Bill is given the Aye by a GOP majority in the House and on to Trumps desk for signature, both Trump and they will be the ones responsible for what the bill does to the U.S in terms of medical misadventures (using the polite term used to describe the deaths of patients who would otherwise have had a longer life) to persons currently availing of Medicaid due to the GOP inclusion of Medicaid cutbacks in the bill. More cash for the boss, less for the taxpayers. It'll put the brand of Trump forever on the collective GOP forehead.

That's ok, the Trump administration will ignore the private sector jobs and announce an increase in public sector job hires (despite downplaying them from the last announcement and those public sector jobs will be rehired staff DOGE fired in error)

They will always pick the better figure and focus on that, like having an increase in job openings but not mentioning that's the farm workers farmers are screaming for because their previous workforce was deported or in hiding etc...

UPenn has stripped Lia Thomas, its transgender swimmer, of all her titles, removed them from its records and kicked her off the team along with apologising to swimmers who they claim lost out on titles and records in the 2021/2022 season.

The move comes after the Trump administration threatened to cut federal funding to UPenn unless it erased Thomas’s achievements. In return, the administration has reportedly dropped a civil rights case that accused the university of discriminating against cisgender female athletes.

It's not just on what the Uni's have done that offended Trump, but the students and athletes that Trump is warring on.

Same with those law firms that ended up providing millions of legal aid in recompense for some of their employees being involved in completely legitimate cases against Trump that were only stopped when he became president. He managed to delay the cases for four fcuking years thanks to the pathetic American judicial system and then vowed revenge.

Ive no sympathy at all for those people tbh, people were warning them blatantly for months and years what the Republicans and Trump wanted to do, they warned them the likes of Trump intended to strip peoples support and benefits to enrich themselves at their expense and now they suffer the consequences of allowing corrupt fascist regressives into power.
