I got a dye to find a coolant leak but it turned out not to be any use and it seems the coolant I use also glows under a UV light also.

Does anyone know if you can hire these pressure tests out??

You can buy a coolant pressure tester in any good factors for around 80 - 100 euros. Then all you need is a UV torch.

What make and model is it?

I had my car pressure tested at the local garage. No leak found, even though it was definitely losing coolant. Turned out it was the actual coolant reservoir cap which is where the pressure tester was attached, so of course it didn't show up.

Worth checking that, because they do lose seal over time.

I can get that sweet coolant smell after a drive.

I changed the coolant thank with a new cap in march.

I would prefer not to buy a new tester as I would only be using it once

What car is it? The reason I said buy one is even of you could rent one it would probably cost more than buying one - Amazon have them for 40 sterling - It would be worth having one around.

Ah - Thermostat housing on the right hand side of the engine(passenger side) is what leaks on them.
