    hello all

so i got a letter in the post thismorning from the Disability Allowance section asking me for bank accounts statements, to my shock i realised that DA is now means tested , i currently have over 20k in savings in my bank account and was wondering how this will effect my payment amount when its payed out weekly.

does anyone know how its mean tested ?

You can have up to €50,000 in savings without your payment being affected. You are supposed to inform them of all changes of circumstances though. Disability Allowance has always been a means tested payment.
