Anyone done calculations that if you have a fairly high value lodged it might be worth changing from a free plan (2%) to get a higher rate. I'm hearing below figures.

    • Premium plan: €32,208.96
    • Metal plan: €28,646.27

Any yes I know I can get higher rates elsewhere but DIRT is taken automatically with Revolut which I like.

Hi has anyone availed of this with a larger amount of money? I'm thinking of transferring a high 5 figure amount into it. Have a grand in it to see how it works, says interest is at 3.27% APY. I like the way it pays the interest daily, minus the dirt tax/fee.

Should I go for it, I prefer the idea of accessing the money at short notice if ever needed, instead of leaving it in a term deposit account for a year or 2..

I have about 28,000 in it - ok so far. I'm only on the free account so 2% and yes as you said DIRT is automatic which put's me off going for Trading 212, Trade Republic etc. with higher rates.

Make sure you still have access to other money just in case they decided to freeze account for whatever reason. This has never happened to me and I'm with them since 2015.

    Got a message from Revolut:-

The interest on your Instant Access Savings will be reduced from 2.00% AER to 1.70% AER, effective on 28/11/2024.

I presume the rates will start to come back down now in line with the ECB ?
