MERC FUEL INJECTORS HELP QOUTED 2,500 FOR JOB !!!

    MERC FUEL INJECTORS - I've an E200 2011 Diesel Automatic -Day 1 coolant top up sign comes on and I put some in , Day 2 driving and white smoke from exhaust , car stutters and comes to a stop. Engine light comes on and temp gauge, thought the temp gauge is low.I top up more coolant and some oil which was low. Try restarting and car shakes and stops. Local mechanic - without diagnostic - says its prob fuel injectors and coulD cost 2,500 EURO all in, says need to send injectors off..

    Can anyone help as its lot of money ! thanks
