Hive - Getting boiler to automatically turn on when zone requests

    Hi there,

Up until recently Climote was used in our house to control the heating. The zones we have are Hot Water, Downstairs heating and Upstairs heating. With the Climote, if we wanted to boost the upstairs for example, we had to also manually boost the hot water at the same time in order to turn the boiler on. It would not automatically turn on the boiler when we wanted to boost a zone. The installer at the time mentioned something vague about the wiring not being in place for this to happen automatically.

We now have Hive heating installed and the same issue is present. I am wondering is there any setting or configuration change that can be made in the Hive system that will automatically turn on the boiler when a zone is selected to heat up without us manually having to do it? Or is this still dependent on the current hardwiring in place

    Thanks in advance.
