hi all, I'm in my early 50s, trying to get back into hill walking again. I've never used trekking poles, but can now see the benefit.

Any advice on what to get for a 1st time user? I've been told Black Diamond Pursuit poles are very good. But interested in hearing from others. My budget would be around €100 to €150.

I don't really know much about Black Diamond poles, but for me the best ones out there are Leki Makalu. I've had a pair of those for ages, and they're in the same range price wise as the ones you've quoted.
