Could someone recommend an audiologist who is really well versed in the technology of the hearing aids they are selling or servicing— area south Dublin/north Wicklow. Experience so far is that the audiologists selling devices do not seem to know much about how the specific features work. DM would be appreciated.

I was happy with Specsavers service. I think a HA is 80% about sound amplification and having the HA tuned in for your needs. More expensive models are more about those 'extras'. You can also 'trial' a model for a few weeks and see how useful these features are in your daily life. For example if you take a lot of voice calls from your phone, a wifi featured HA would be worth it for you. A connection to an App on your phone to adjust settings/volume might be valuable for someone in an office setting.
