Second side wall advise needed

heya,

Starting on the second wall, not as wide as first wall.. their is a 9cm gap between the brick and path as can be seen here

what would be the best way to lay bricks?

as the half blocks are just a little bigger than half it should fill the width , if u know what I mean..

if I am picking you up right, I think the answer is to keep the full blocks further apart - they are too close together in that pic above. Also if you keep the full block near the wall further out from the wall, you should have no need for a "wedge".

If you lay them that way, you should be able to have 2 full blocks in one row, 2 x half blocks / footballs + 1 full block in the next row, and so on all the way up.

You should really be tying the new blocks into the existing wall also, but maybe you have allowed for that?

how high is the wall?

how deep are the founds, they look a bit narrow so as said above, tie into existing at every sec course

Will you be rendering the wall?

Typically you would use a brick between the two blocks to make it up, but if you are not going to render/paint you might not like how this looks.

No rendering, Im doing 2 block width 1st row, then 2 halves and a full one.. this is gonna be 7/8 blocks high with the capping on top.. When the rain stops so I can continue work on it!
