You may struggle withe AML requirements but I find the AIB business product easier than BOI

If you're a sole trader you can setup a business bank account with most banks online. They will require proof of address. There are quite a few business banks to choose from in Ireland.

It all depends on the company structure, beneficial ownership and industry. You will probably need to go through additional checks to satisfy AML requirements and it will take a few weeks to get it through. Just make sure to have all documents ready, certificate of incorporation, register with the RBO etc.

Opening a business bank account in Ireland without being a resident can be challenging, but some banks are more flexible than others. Here are a few options to consider:

    1. Revolut Business: Known for its user-friendly app, it’s often easier to set up compared to traditional banks, and they cater to international clients.
    2. N26: This online bank is straightforward and allows you to open an account from abroad, although it may have limited business features.
    3. AIB (Allied Irish Banks): They offer business accounts and may be open to non-residents, especially if you can provide necessary documentation.
    4. Bank of Ireland: Similar to AIB, they may consider applications from non-residents but will require proper identification and business documentation.
    5. Ulster Bank: Check their policies, as they might have options for non-residents as well.

Make sure to prepare all necessary documentation, such as proof of business registration and identification, to facilitate the application process. It's also a good idea to reach out to these banks directly for specific requirements and guidance.
