Saver Account that allows more than 1k per month transfer

Hi,

I currently have a Savers Account with my bank but occasionally I need to transfer more than 1k per month which I'm not allowed to as per the conditions.

What are some alternatives? I would like easy access to such an account. It's more of a rainy day account for general things that crop up from time to time.

N26 is probably hands-down the best saving account with instant access and either 2.6% or 4% p.a. No unreasonable transfer limits.

OP, that restriction is possibly caused by the level of interest you're getting on the account. Consider moving some or all of the money to a 'demand' account, that will attract less interest but you won't have that low limit of monthly withdrawals.

I checked it out on line.

I saw that there is a fee of €16.90 per month for a metal account.

Can I set up just a savings account and do transfers (monthly standing orders and occasional lump sum payments) from my PTSB current account?

I have the basic account which is free and gives me 2.8% on savings, interest paid 1st of every month but you need to sort out DIRT yourself.

None of what you have asked above is an issue with N26, a great bank to use for savings and every day usage, you get notifications to your phone when money comes in or if a DD comes out, and you get all of that for free! Irish banks are years behind N26 and the likes.
