    Accutane, or isotretinoin, can bring about long-lasting improvements in acne, but it doesn't permanently change the skin. While it can provide significant and often long-term relief from acne, its effects are not permanent. Some individuals may experience acne recurrence after treatment discontinuation, while others may see lasting improvements.
