Renovation of a dilapidated cottage

    Good afternoon everyone,

I am looking to get some advise on the approximate cost of renovating an old cottage I have. It has not been inhabited in close to 45 years, it would have been your typical 3 room county cottage built at least 100 years ago a small extension was added but never finished, it would need a new roof, heating system, wastewater treatment, possibly floors, dry-lining (or similar), it does have an ESB connection and a water supply from a group water scheme.

Has anyone an idea of what it would cost to get a design from an architect/engineer, apply for planning etc and then what an approximate cost per m2 for construction. What grants etc would be available for construction?

    Thanks in advance
