What to wear for Wedding in Turkey

I'm going to an Irish Wedding later this Summer in Turkey and I have no idea (male - 40) what to wear. It's probably going to be too warm to wear a full suit, but I do want to be relatively respectful. The groom is wearing a light colour suit, but he told us it's going to be casual enough that shirts and shorts will be fine. I was thinking potentially a nice shirt and maybe jeans/pants or shorts versions of jeans/pants.

I thought if I went to ASOS or somewhere and typed in Summer Wedding it would give me some ideas but I'm still struggling for inspiration. I appreciate if anyone has done similar and what they ended up wearing.

Ralph Lauren chino shorts, Linen shirt, boat shoes? I would melt with anything more.

I would probably go with cotton blend chinos and a lightweight cotton shirt. It can be dressed up or dressed down, depending on the circumstances, when you get there.

If you are going with shorts, I would opt for a pleated (more formal) pair, which would go nicely with a mandarin-collar button down. It covers all the bases, just in case the wedding is less casual than the groom anticipates.
