Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just bought a 1989 classic car and wondering what security features I can put on it.

Is a kill switch on ignition worth it? Any recommendations of someone in Dublin to do that?

How about alarm and immobiliser, any recommendations?

Depending on value of car there are some simple fixes.

Removing 12 volt battery and keeping inside house.

Fitting a battery isolator switch, the ones with a green knob, the knob can be removed and kept in house.

If you have an iPhone an airtag costs 20 euro with worldwide tracking and one year battery life.

If car has distributer removing rotor arm will allow them to try start car and flatten battery.

    Removing one wheel can help.

If in demand high value they often use tow trucks, good tracker is only option then.

If you have a house alarm you can wirelessly connect car to 24 hour zone with battery powered shock sensor. If car is moved house alarm goes off 24/7/365.

Ideally keep car out of sight to reduce risk significantly.
