    I need to change my car as currently drive a diesel but work will be changing in a couple of weeks so my travel time will only be 10 mins which will no doubt be bad for my dpf.ive seen a few auris hybrids on donedeal but some are imports which have the Japanese writing on the screen and dash ect can this be changed ?.if anyone can recommend a hatchback that maybe i hadnt thought of,i prefer jap cars and about the size of an auris budget is max 15k and petrol.

    Nuff said. I think someone mentioned on here before that the vast amount of petrols in Ireland are Jap imports.

    If you want Petrol and reliability Japanese manufacturers are your best bet. Toyota Auris , Honda civic, Suzuki Swift , Mazda 3 are all in the same class of car

    Hi thanks for the reply i never thought about the mazda 3 not many on donedeal though i may just have to try the auris not sure if ill like an hybrid i do prefer a manual car but will try and test drive one at the weekend see if i like it.

    You don't need to change your car with that commute, for the sake of a DPF.

    At just 10 minutes each way, it'll take a long time for a DPF to fill up. You'll probably have done a long journey in the meantime, so the DPF will have a chance to clear itself out.
