I don't know if anything like it was done before…but I love it and still love it now...

Anyway... groundbreaking stuff that's occurred within your lifetime....not necessarily music maybe politics, science etc…just music's my thing ☺️

This as far as I was concerned was the first music video I ever saw where there's some sort of story with actors doing things other than singing the song, I was hooked.

I'll always remember chatting with a friend about 30 years ago and he told me the way the World Wide Web was advancing and the addition of modems on personal computers would mean there was going to be an explosion in computer sales. He worked for Apple and was investing a % of his weekly wage in shares. Pure brainbox.

I asked him what good would it be for ordinary people who didn't need one for work and he said in the future people will be able to do their shopping from home. Everytime I tried to give him a reason that it was never going to happen he just calmly explained in dumbed down language how it was only a matter of time. I did invest in some Apple shares and made a few bob off them even though I sold way too early, but for years afterwards anytime I saw him I would think of that conversation and think to myself how deluded he was that day.

I'm just glad myself and the wife were lucky enough to be dragged into becoming some way computer literate by our kids because I know some people who have no grasp. Today I was asked could I book return AirCoach bus tickets and flight tickets for 3 friends, they think I'm amazing. The internet makes life so easy and interesting.

Someone investing in Apple 30 years ago would have had 3-4 really, really scary years financially until Jobs came back. Rotting operating system, exceptionally ugly hardware and losing their edge in everything.

They were propped up by an investment from Microsoft who also promised to keep providing Office and Internet Explorer for a number of years to keep antitrust lawyers happy. Otherwise they were going to hit the wall.

Wildly different to the Apple of the last 20 years

I remember another conversation with a know it all barman years later telling me the only thing Apple computers would be good for is using them as actual goldfish bowls.

The last few years of MacOS 8 and 9 were really, really scary for their survival. If you didn't know that they were shopping for a new OS, it wasn't a bad guess.

They looked at buying BeOS or Nextstep, went with Nextstep to get Jobs back and the company was saved within a few years. macOS is still based on Nextstep now

You might as well be talking to the wall because none of that makes sense to me, thanks anyway.

Michael Jackson’s Leave me alone was one of those wow graphics videos at the time and Peter Gabriel’s Sledgehammer.
