Hi, I am trying to tack down a poem that was either on the leaving cart or inter-cert Irish syllabus.

the narrator of the poem is on a beach watching the tide coming in and saying that he/she will act when the tide comes in. Then the tide comes in, does not act, then the tide is going out. Ring a bell. From memory, it is thematically similar to the J. Alfred Prufock that was on the English syllabus. Tks much for any leads.
