Hot water kitchen connection to emersion vs boiler

Hi folks, bit of a weird one.

We have a hot water tank that can be heated with an emersion, heats the water for the bathroom tap and shower.

We have a gas boiler, also heats the hot water tank, bathroom tap, shower and also the kitchen hot tap.

When we heat the water with the emersion the hot tap in the kitchen does not get hot. We had the boiler changed and since then we have been using the boiler to heat the water.

Any thoughts on why hot water would not be going from the hot water tank when it was heater by the emersion or is is somehow that the kitchen tap is not taking the water from the tank?

    Rowan

Is the gas boiler a combi?
    Some photos would establish that.

Are there 2 hot water cylinders in your house?

Is the immersion fitted into the cylinder? Or is it a Willis heater mounted externally? Some photos would be helpful.

Ultimately, if the kitchen sink hot tap is fed from a hot cylinder it should have hot water, regardless of whether the cylinder was heated with using a gas boiler or an immersion heater.
