Hi, if this is not the right section, Mods please move.

I am looking at buying a certain type of trailer, that only two companies in the UK manufacture to order on their premises, so made in UK.

Both companies charge about £1750 sterling which includes UK VAT. I have asked and they dont take the VAT off for sales to EU.

I would have to collect, so get ferry over at around 350 euro to tow trailer back.

How do i go about bringing the trailer into Rosslare ( my nearest port ) and being totally legal, and what will i be expected to pay.

Am i correct in thinking as trailer is made in UK i will just be charged Irish VAT at 23% on trailer value and ferry fare.

    Thanks in advance.
