Just back from the movies and happy to report a nicely acted edited and filled with emotion bio of Amy Winehouse. Go and see it, enjoyable and somewhat sad.

Just back from watching it with my missus, we both enjoyed it. It's well acted, great cast and a very tragic story that's heartbreaking as you watch her life unravel. Glad the director chose not to show her very last days, it was more respectful, we thought.

    poor movie…
Accentuated the alcoholic aspect so much, but didnt feature/mention Pete Doherty at all……

Acting was good in it, but i just felt a bit meh about it overall.

Sounds like it's very soft on her father and Fielder-Civil and generally just distorts the truth for dramatic effect.

So just as exploitative and abhorrent as the behaviour of the tabloids while Amy was still alive.

Do yourselves a favour and watch Amy (2015) instead, if you haven't already.
