    Hi All,

How is Dublin 22 as a location for buying house.

We have booked a house in Keepers Lock but since we are from outside Dublin we know less about the area.

Is this area safe in general for housing!!

How are primary schools in this area are they easy to reach, any specific school recommendations!!

There are lots of duplex houses which never got released on open market on the day of release, should we expect all of them to go under social housing?

Is this area affected by antisocial behaviour as this is just at the park and ride stop at Fonthill, and adjacent to canal walk.

All feedback about this area which could help us make the right buying decision is Welcome

Part of a brand new town being built on the side of a ring road, so still up in the air how it will shake out. It's close enough to not great areas like Foxdene and the estate across the canal (Kilmahudrick/Deansrath/St Cuthberts) is quite rough. The sort of area where buses being withdrawn is a regular occurrence. A murder of a Croatian man and a separate serious assault with a machete at 11am on a weekday morning happened in and around there over the last few weeks alone. Open drug dealing takes place along the canal path too, mainly teenagers on bikes and scooters. Guards do occasional sweeps of it.

Go to the area yourselves to see what it's like. I would buy there unless there's a lot of social housing.
