    Hi All,

Not sure if I'm posting this in the correct place? But I've an issue with our robot mower. It returns to charge at about 50% load. Anything from 46% to 53%.It charges fine and then goes back out for about 70 minutes. So charging and cutting times are shorter. The battery would reduce down to 23% when we had it first. Brought the mower to a specialist automower repair company. They couldn't find any issues and battery is ok. The guy there thinks it might be due to the guide wires. But I'm not sure as it does go out and come back to station ok. Possibly a little more difficult for it to find the guide wires than previous but I cant be certain as perhaps I changed something on my phone app. Any assistance much appreciated.

Has it ever run out of charge while trying to get home?

I would think that it takes a very conservative approach, so if it runs flat it will head for home at a higher percentage battery the next time.

    Hi Blackbox.

Thanks. It did get stuck last year and the battery died so maybe this has something to do with it

Its probably worth trying a reset. Bear in mind you'll lose all of your settings and schedules.

Yeah might look into this. The schedule… I'm always playing around with it so wouldn't matter too much. After that I dont think there's much setting up.

if you take it out of the docking station and start it manually you can select cutting a secondary area. I think it runs down to 5% before it stops. Might be worth a try to see how long it runs to see if battery is actually good or if it helps reset anything

Hi Husq430x. I have the same issue with my 430x. Did you get to the bottom of it? I was thinking it is a battery issue of I am on my fifth session. Same as, goes back at around 50%.

    Hi Dabre

Apologies I'm just noticing your email now. So I brought the mower to a company to have a look at and check the battery. They tested it and said the battery was working ok. So I just put the mower back on the lawn to work away as it was. I noticed that it did start returning to the station a bit earlier as the weeks went by. Like from 50% to 40%. I don't know…? maybe warmer battery? I'm letting the house out now so tenant is dealing with it and aware of the issue so We will see how it goes. Any progress on your side? I think mine was getting it a bit harder to find the guide wire than previous. Like 7-8 minutes. I'm wondering did I mess something up on the app.

    Hi Husq,

I replaced the battery and all good since. It is on its fifth season so it would have needed to be done soon anyway. I got a genuine one online and installed myself, much much cheaper than bringing it in to dealer.

Good idea to replace the rubber seal at the same time when the automower is opened. This would be done by a reputable dealer and helps keep it watertight and stop moisture from getting into the machine and prevent corrosion developing on the circuit boards.

Yes indeed, I noticed small water ingress in places on the old seal.
