What should I expect in a quote?

    Looking at having some patio replaced in the backgarden. I've received a number of quotes. Most of them are basic enough just a price for what they will do.

    Once I pick a quote what should I expect from the builder? Should there be a contract or a more detailed quote / estimate with breakdown of works I can hold them to?
