Nct Failed due to smoke

    Hi Lads, my Qashqai 2012 1.6 diesel faild NCT due to smoke emission vay over the limit. It was 4.1/m, normal limit was 1.5/m.

    The Nct tester said it may be an injector or fuel pump problem get it checked by a mechanic.

    Now i dont know how it works at the meachanic 's shop? They may change one part and what if it fails nct again then what? Is it gonna be a trial basis in an out of mechanic until smoke clears.?

    Its 243k kms on clock.

    Sometimes at high speed engine misfires as well.
