Hey guys, got my wheels refurbished last month but I spotted this on one of the wheels after washing the car, any ideas what it is?

Thought so too but like it under the lacquer so can't be brake dust

So obviously isn't wiping off ? I'd try some polishing compound just to see if it does anything but they hardly applied the clear coat over the brake dust meaning they didn't actually paint the wheel

It's very close to the colour at the outside of the rim (if I'm seeing that right). Overspray from that?

I think you're right, i went back to the place today and owner himself came over to take a look and told me it was overspray as he tried to take it off himself with something then realised it was under the clear coat, I dont mind it being there I just didnt want it getting worse and if its just overspray then it cant

He did but I decided not get it fixed yet to see if it's actually overspray or if it continues spreading, I've a 1 year warranty so I'm not worried about it for now.

Wait till you kurb the newly done alloy again (always happens to the one you just had done!) and then get it fixed 😄

well I had all 4 done as I had alloygators on the wheels (good idea at first bad after 2 years as they ruin your alloys cause water builds up). Im avoiding kerbs like hell now
