Gold has hit a record high at over $2,360 an ounce. Seems to be geo political factors driving the recent climb. The BBC included the fact that there are a lot of elections this year. It was nearly as high in 1980 and again in 2011. But since 2011 it has gone below $500 on occasion. Not a reliable investment, but probably better than Crypto in the longer term.

Will be interesting to which "goes" first Gold or Crypto. Gold is overpriced at the moment.Who knows about crypto until the next crash on a digital platform

I purchased some physical gold 2 years ago this week that's up about 20%.

However, at current prices, I'm tempted to sell some out of the money bear call spreads.

where is best to sell gold in Ireland or even up north? Jewelers seem to only give scrap price.
