Glass Garden Room/ Veranda Installation

Hi All

I’m looking into getting an enclosed Glass Room fitted to the back of the house

Would anyone know of/ recommend a company that would do this in Cork

What route are you going ?

My understanding is they need a concrete base

There seems to be 2 options - glass & polycarbonate

I need to look up the pros and cons of both

You don't need a concrete base they are happy to install on decking. In fact concrete unless it is perfectly level is unsuitable. Another poster was told to put decking on their concrete to get the flatness.

We are getting one with poly carbonate roof and the quote is £11,200.00 supplied and fitted by a company in the North.

Glass roof would be more expensive but the weight would be much higher so the demands on the deck would also be much higher.

Are you based in the North or are they country wide

What size is that for if you don't mind me asking ?

I am looking for the type where the sides and front is enclosed

The company says they are country wide but cork might be pushing it a bit. We are in Carrick on Shannon.

Ours will be enclosed on three sides with sliding walls and the size is 3 x 4 meters.
