    Hi all,

Relative living in England a couple of years - he's grown up here driving tractors on farms (large road legal heavy tractors).

He has a construction job in East Anglia - the client/contractor wants him to now have a HGV Class 1 license just to drive a tractor and trailer, which is something he's been doing all along with no issues. I assume it's for the local roads as material is hauled between sites.

What is the fastest way to obtain one? This is really just to to show a construction contractor - not DVLA/Lorry industry, it is definitely not for operating lorries, strictly tractor and trailer only.

The courses in UK are something he doesn't have time for to take off work and the cost is a lot higher than expected.

Thank you in advance if anyone can help
