Octavia Engine light

Hey folks

Started the car this morning & the dreaded Engine light was on amber,

Shes running fine as normal , i plugged it in and got the following faults. Im just wondering does anyone have an idea of what it may involve to fix them, I will of course bring it to the garage on Monday but just to give myself an idea of what it could be,

I'd imagine 1 & 3 are linked

1. Sensor for internal Pressure of cylinder 3- malfunction
2. Cylinder head coolant Vlave- open circuit,
3. Sensor for internal pressure of Cllinder 3 - implausible signal

Well it’s probably glow plug 3 which is different to the others which has failed. It’s a combined glow plug and pressure sensor. The other is either a faulty coolant valve or possibly damaged wiring to it. A quick google search shows it’s not uncommon. Id guess (and it is a guess), €180-250 in total to sort out. Others with far more knowledge may be able to chip in with more knowledge.

I've a 2023 Octavia with the 2L 150bhp diesel engine with 1 and 3 showing.

It's a warranty job (if your car is still under warranty of course).

It was as Needles73 mentioned, the cylinder 3 glow plug sensor was faulty and needed to be replaced.

Took 4 weeks for them to look at it but it drove fine throughout that time (100KM a day), no loss of power or change in performance, fuel economy didn't change, and the check engine light came and went repeatedly.

Not sure if I'd drive longer term without replacing though.

So after the garage telling me it was a water pump censor & a glow plug sensor & it is somersetting that needs to be done but could wait a few weeks,

The engine light has all of a sudden completely disappeared how does that even happen ?

The garage may have cleared the fault if you had it in with them

no they didn't it was on when i got it back for 2 days then disappeared ,

In my case my check engine light came and went several times in the 5 or so weeks between it first showing and the garage replacing the glow plug.

I suspect it will probably make a reappearance in the coming days.
